From Iron Man to Mister Fantastic, it's not exactly rare for superheroes to have a lot of money, but the redefine the idea of superhuman wealth. Our list of the wealthiest X-Men starts in the tens of millions and ends with two separate candidates for richest man in the world.
7 Dazzler, aka Alison Blaire
The X-Men's Taylor Swift Is One of the World's Biggest Pop Stars
Dazzler is basically the Marvel Universe's answer to Taylor Swift - a globally famous pop star who has canonically . That collab was recent and treated as a meeting of equals, so Dazzler likely has at least Lizzo's own $40 million net worth, bare minimum.
While her fortunes have waxed and waned over the decades, Dazzler is at the very least a millionaire, if not a billionaire (who X-Men fans have campaigned to cast as the mutant singer.)
6 Monet St. Croix, aka M, aka Penance
Monet's Family Money Includes Multiple Corporations and Algerian Royalty
Monet's fortune comes from family money - primarily her ambassador father's many, many investments and corporations. However, Monet isn't just an heiress. M's mutant power enhances her body in every way, including super-intelligence which she uses as a cut-throat businesswoman.
Monet is gifted at analyzing huge amounts of data and applying genius-level deductive reasoning, allowing her to instinctively play the markets and increase her personal wealth. When all mutants gathered together on the island nation of Krakoa, Monet was one of two mutants tasked with handling their worldly wealth.
5 Sunspot, aka Roberto Da Costa
A Generational Millionaire Who Bought AIM
Like Monet, Sunspot comes from a rich family and has never stopped building his net worth. A major networker, Sunspot is known for taking huge risks with his cash, and does business both on Earth and in space, including the mutant settlement on Mars and the alien Shi'ar Empire.
One of Sunspot's most impressive displays of wealth was buying the terrorist group AIM (aka Advanced Idea Mechanics) and turning them into a force for good, defeating one of Marvel's biggest villain groups without throwing a punch. He's also and commissioned multiple giant mechs, spending millions to make billions.
4 Emma Frost, aka the White Queen
A Wealthy Billionaire Who Secretly Manipulates the Markets
Though born to a mutant family, Emma rejected her family's fortune and struck out on her own. Utilizing her telepathic abilities, Emma quickly became a millionaire and eventually joined the Hellfire Club - a secret society of mutants who utilize their powers to play the markets.
Emma's powers and her Hellfire Club contacts gradually made her one of the wealthiest people in the world, possessing a personal fortune to rival Tony Stark.
Emma has run multiple businesses including Frost International, Frost Enterprises, Frost Technologies, and the Hellfire Trading Company, and her personal fortune is bolstered by her mutant ability, which transforms her entire body into living diamond.
3 Angel, aka Archangel, aka Warren Worthington III
A Billionaire Industrialist Who Handles the X-Men's Money
Angel comes from one of the richest families in the world. While he was initially considered an outcast due to his mutant gift, he now runs the family's various business interests, including multiple Fortune 100 companies such as Worthington Industries. Worthington Industries alone has been suggested to have enough funds to "buy Disney."
Indeed, Angel's wealth is part of why Xavier recruited him to the X-Men, with Warren possessing an even bigger fortune than Professor X... at least when the team started...
Angel has backed multiple superhero teams including the X-Men and the Defenders, and ran the X-Corp company during X-Men's Krakoan Era, responsible for mutantkind's collective resources.
2 Charles Xavier, aka Professor X
The X-Men's Founder Is Secretly Sitting on Billions
Charles Xavier is from a wealthy family, with New X-Men #129 confirming he has a personal wealth of $3.5 billion dollars. However, that's just the fortune that people know about. Xavier hides the vast majority of his wealth, using it to support his various mutant teams.
In 2019's X-Force #3, Xavier's true wealth is hinted at, and he's branded "the wealthiest and most powerful man alive." Xavier's secret businesses include pharmaceuticals, farming, mining, entertainment, real estate, law and waste management, often with businesses cheekily named for his students, like Wolverine Waste Management and Summers News and Media.
Xavier is also betrothed to Shi'ar royalty, giving him access to near-infinite funds, and it's been hinted that he's not above robbing the enemies of mutantkind, using his Omega-level telepathy to force his enemies to hand over their fortunes, then forget they did so.
1 Namor McKenzie
This Multi-Trillionaire Is Potentially the Richest Man in the World
Joining the X-Men in 2009, Namor is one of the world's richest men, if not the richest being on the planet. As the king of Atlantis, Namor commands the largest nation on Earth, and lays claim to over 70% of the planet's surface.
Atlantis' mineral wealth is essentially incalculable. In human history, we've mined around 214,000 tonnes of gold, while the oceans contain an estimated 20 million tons. Yes, Namor technically owns more gold than the entire human race, across all time.
In practical terms, Namor is at least a trillionaire, as evidenced by the prolonged war between Atlantis and Wakanda, which likewise has trillions of dollars to draw on.
Namor doesn't just sit around counting his money - Atlantis has a secret presence on the surface world, with countless business holdings secretly under Namor's control - most prominently, his Oracle Incorporated conglomerate. He even canonically holds the movie rights for the Fantastic Four, and Atlantis has charted all human treasure that was lost to the seas, which Namor retrieves as and when he needs it.
Namor is the leader of one of the biggest nations on Earth, and he is an absolute ruler, with his person essentially functioning as an expression of the state - making all of Atlantis' resources his to use however he sees fit.
