In fact, he is famously involved with Anirban Bhattacharya and Kanhiya Kumar who were against the judicial killing of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat at JNU campus on February 9, 2016.

Now, an unknown person attacked him at the Constitution Club near Parliament Area on August 13, 2018. The attacker used a pistol to kill him but escaped. Moreover, the best part is that Umar is safe now. DSP of Police Madhur Verma said that the police are trying to identify the Khalid’s culprit.
