She was a friend and bridesmaid for Cameran Eubanks. When Eubanks decided to leave the show after six seasons, Bonaparte stepped up and went from a small role to part of the main cast. This brings more attention to her and also comes with a bigger paycheck, not that she necessarily needs it.

Past cast members do not have many good things to say about Southern Charm. Producers seem to be more interested in drama and narrative than truth and cast members’ well-being. No wonder the show offers stars such a big paycheck, and yet few of them stick around for long. Leva Bonaparte knows what she’s getting into, having played a small part on previous seasons of the show. Hopefully she can manage to do her stint on the show while avoiding any of the frequent .
